Overview:

Responsibilities:We are currently seeking skilled Welder to join our Maintenance Team under our Stevedoring and/or Cargo Handling operations. The purpose of this position is to accurately and safely perform weld repairs on heavy industrial equipment and conveyor systems. We uphold the highest safety standards and seek to employ like-minded operators.

Details:

• Scheduling:
  • Maintenance can expect shift work type scheduling including nights and weekends as needed.
• Compensation and Benefits:
  • $20-$30/hr. Based on experience
  • Regularly available over time

• Perform Weld Repairs
  • Stick Welding heavy industrial equipment and conveyor systems
  • Inspection of equipment for defect or damage n
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to safety standards
• General Duties
  • Attentive to operations and surroundings
  • Follow scheduling and production goals set by management
  • Work as a team to meet, achieve, and exceed goals when possible

Qualifications:Qualifications:

• 6 months minimum experience with Stick or Tack welding or similar
  • Educational training may be substituted for work experience
• Understanding and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for heavy industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements)
• Valid US driver’s license

Other Details:

• As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions.

• All employees must pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card within a specified period of hire.
