Work pertains to fabrication of mechanical structures or components. Maintain responsibility of operation of welding equipment to include gas, metal arc, shielded metal arc, and TIG welding equipment. Applies knowledge of policies, procedures, and practical application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job to complete varied and complex work. May make recommendations for new procedures. Works independently within established procedures and practices, and may lead tasks and informally mentor others.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in welding structural components and assemblies
- 6 years of experience with structural welding
- Knowledge of drawings and blueprints to plan welding layouts and procedures
- Ability to measure and cut materials in preparation for welding
- Ability to operate saws, grinders, plasma cutters, and gas torches
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of welding inspection methods
- Ability to determine correct welding equipment based on provided requirements
- Welding certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,200.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
